Serving Northwest Florida since 1953, United Cerebral Palsy provides programs and services for infants, babies, teenagers, and adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities in a 9-county area.
Filming of StarFest, United Cerebral Palsy of Northwest Florida’s signature fundraising and public education event, took place on Sunday, January 25, 2009, in the WSRE Jean and Paul Amos Performance Studio on the Pensacola Junior College campus. The two hour afternoon “live-to-tape” filming highlights United Cerebral Palsy programs.
The program includes enlightening mini documentaries that explain services, interviews with clients and families, and entertainment as well as presentations by major supporters and contributors. Programs provided by UCP affiliates Children’s Services Center, Capstone Academy, Transitional Educational Center (TEC), and Milton Children’s Center will be featured.
StarFest hosts Pat Windham, Bobby Likis, Buzz Ritchie, Saundra Daggs, and Mike Hill will interview clients, guests, and supporters. Co-chairs of StarFest 2009 are United Cerebral Palsy board member Raisa Overstreet and board chair Dr. J. Ben Renfroe.
The finished program will air on WEAR Channel 3 on July 31, 2009.
